While we didn't get the chance to tour the orphanage where Toktogul has lived the past year or so, we did meet the Director and get copies of records there, and learned he has been doing very well in his first year of school. I posted earlier about our visit there and the kids who touched my heart, so here are some photos of Turat and Askar. It is amazing to me, when seeing the kids side by side that all but one of the boys is the same age...Toktogul, Askar and Turat are all 8 years old and Matthew is the youngest, turning 8 this next week. Josh is 4 1/2, and yet Askar isn't that much taller than he is! It is amazing what nourishment of the body as well as the soul can do for a child, and what harm can come from having little of either one.
