Here are more photos from the Marksburg Castle. The little "outhouse" that Matthew correctly identified is shown both on the exterior and the interior. It was amazing to be inside of a structure that was this old. The view of the Rhine was stunning, and I couldn't believe that I was standing in this place, something that I never would have even dared dream of when I was a child who had never even had a real vacation until my honeymoon! In many ways, though a child of Southern California, I am really a child of small, rural Montrose in my heart, and seeing the parts of the world I have seen was never even on my radar. What surprises life can bring you!
