A year of amazing growth and heartwrenching and heart soaring challenge. Thank you for letting us in on just a portion of that. I have grown just reading your wisdom.

Now I would like to comment on just one paragraph. It's not fair to wish for another, but I will take off one concern you continue to have. You echo every good teacher when you hope that each and every one of your pupils learns and learns to enjoy learning. Each of us wants or wanted each student to desire lifelong learning and to make the most of each learning opportunity.

One look at your kids and you know that you are succeeding in spades. Matthew with his lego-built model of a commercial plane, workable flaps and all or his nose in a book about World War I, Kenny in such bliss surrounded by a pile of books he is devouring, the delight Angela takes in telling about her latest discovery in the world of learning or showing her latest art, Olesya showing the latest craft she is mastering, and Josh buried in his latest biological discovery. These are kids that have already discovered the joy of learning and continue to experience and hone it.

As for the teachers, the primary one and the teacher's assistant, they are aces in the education department. Few teachers have the opportunity to tailor the curriculum to the student or the energy or desire (if they have 30 kids in a class and 5 classes to teach). You have all the classes to teach, and each of your pupils has his/her own special challenge.

So, if I would hope for you, it would be that you gain confidence in your abilities, continued satisfaction with the vocation you have chosen, and continue your love for the challenge--all without stress, of course!

May all of 2011's challenges be joyful ones.

Love each of you,
LaelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
