I hear you speak of trying to get comfortable in your new skin and I too am wrestling, trying to figure out who this woman is, I keep telling my daughter,"Im not who I was." I feel alone, not many friends around, I trust my God to be there for me and have my family and the few friends that are waiting for the dust to settle. Dont get me wrong, I am thankful to not be who I was, it shows me that God is still at work. I just havent gotten comfortable with "me" yet. Im not quite sure how she will react or feel and dont trust her quite yet. Thankfully all the reading I have done suggests cocooning once you are home with newly adopted little one.... works for me.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05452607521750848540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35990418.post-68814039467132356082010-10-06T08:51:24.081-06:002010-10-06T08:51:24.081-06:00"...whose lives intersect ours..." It i..."...whose lives intersect ours..." It is said that the back of a tapestry is a tangled mess of threads making no pattern, but turn it over and there is a tapestry of great hue and color and vision. Together with God we are all weaving a tapestry of life. From our side it looks like a mess at times, and the dark hues in our lives might seem like a blot, an error. Someday each of us may get a glimpse of the other side of the tapestry. We may be able to follow our own thread, but probably will lose it in the vision of the whole. The dark threads, ours and others, are just as valuable to the whole picture as the lights. The colors we bring, the shadows we create and the beautiful visions we are are visible now to God. Close our eyes, and we might picture it as God sees it.

Thank you for weaving your darks and lights, bright and subdued hues into the tapestry of our lives. You have made our tapestry richer and fuller. It could not be without you.

Love,
LaelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
