Sick House

Well, the illness has progressed and this is going to be a short post. Just got back from the MD and Joshua as strep throat and pneumonia, and I have strep but no pneumonia...yet. They let Josh come home tonight but if he is not better tomorrow then he will be hospitalized. We are going to be on antibiotics and they even gave him an antibiotic injection too, as well as prednisone and nebulizer in an effort to lick this thing. I so don't want him in hospital, so we are praying the drugs kick in and he starts responding quickly.

Imagine your house Christmas afternoon with all the mess not yet picked up from the morning, and sick bed stuff everywhere with blankets strewn on every surface...and Daddy trying hard to take care of everything else while still coming down with it a little himself. And at the moment, I feel so lousy, I could care less.

Think I'll go crawl back to bed. I don't have the energy to be deep, witty or interesting.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery!

If it makes you feel any better, my little Kaz princess and I spent the afternoon in the ER as she had 105.5. The only Dx we got was a virus. She had pneumonia last month and the antibiotics knocked that right out. I hope they work the same wonders for Josh!

Sending you some virtual chicken soup,
Shanna

YUCK---it's miserable when everyone gets sick like that. I hope you are all starting to feel better. We're battling sickness here too--but nowhere near as bad as you. Here's hoping the new year comes with everyone back their healthy selves!

Yikes—everyone in bed now. Lots of chicken noodle soup and Vick's Vapor rub. Here's hoping you and Joshua feel better in the morning.

Dear Cindy,
I have just pulled myself out of bed today for the first time in 4 1/2 days with a bad flu and am browsing people's blogs and just read your's for the first time. First of all, I am so sorry you have all been so very sick this Christmas. I pray everyone is on the mend real quick. Secondly, I LOVE your blog!!!! You are an incredible communicator and a gift to all of us who are trying to navigate through this process of adopting and parenting adopted kids! Many blessings on this next big step! I am so excited for you and will stand with you when anyone questions your sanity dear one! God is leading you and you are following His calling on your life!!! God bless you!
Love, Sloan

I was sick for the whole month of October... it was most unpleasant but no one else got sick thankfully!!

Here's hoping all of you get well soon! It's no fun being sick and I hope Josh is doing well.
